About this Tour

sesimbraOur first destination is Serra da Arrábida, with its classified natural park, an area of breathtaking sceneries, marked by the contrast between the mountains and the jagged coastline, the sea of transparent waters, coves and white sand beaches.

We will visit Cape Espichel, one of the most impressive sites of the Atlantic coast, a place of pilgrimage since the 13th century, where legend says Our Lady appeared with two senior persons. The famous Shrine of Our Lady, 1700, was built in Cabo Espichel, with guesthouses for pilgrims, now recovered, House Water and Aqueduct, and the Opera House, where once were performed shows promoted by the royal family, structures whose ruins we can see.

We follow towards Sesimbra, picturesque fishing village situated close to Serra da Arrábida. Its Castle was officially conquered in 1165 by Afonso Henriques. Sesimbra is a popular holiday destination and a seaside resort.

Returning to Lisbon, at the entrance of the city, you can enjoy the impressive Cristo Rei Statue. As we cross 25th April Bridge, you will certainly feel a special emotion, as we stand before the impressive view of the city and river.
